David Earling had a 16 year career at Goldman Sachs before joining Solebury Capital. Most recently, he focused on a re-structuring of Equity Capital Markets to create an execution desk responsible for all equity transactions as well as the block/risk business and a broader market intelligence function. Concurrently, David co-architected the GSTrUE Rule 144A trading platform, an industry innovation which broadened the market for private securities.
Prior to assuming the above responsibilities, David was the head of the insurance practice in Equity Capital Markets and was a leader in the structuring and execution teams of landmark transactions such as MetLife, Prudential, Principal, Stancorp and Anthem. He also acted as a deal captain for the broader financial services sector and was the lead capital markets banker for clients such as CIT, Intercontinental Exchange, National Financial Partners, and NewStar Financial. Over the course of his career at Goldman Sachs, David led well over 100 equity IPOs, follow-ons, block trades and private placements.
David graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dickinson College and received a Masters in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. He lives with his wife Maria and two young children in Titusville, New Jersey.
